DESIGNATED SAFEGUARDING LEAD
The Designated Safeguarding Lead/Officer (DSL) is the first point of contact for all staff and volunteers. It is recommended that any event where there the potential for safeguarding concerns, such as festivals, to have one or more DSL - for large events, we recommend two so the load can be shared. Our DSL hold at least level 3 training with many holding level 4 or 5 and have experience in safeguarding.
We can also assist with teams for welfare provision to keep your festival goers safe in their time of need as well as safeguarding advice and guidance.
