Calvin Hanks

Calvin Hanks 
MSc, MSc, PgC, CMIOSH, MCIEH, TechIOA, FIIRSM

Following a successful career in the hospitality industry where he gained a passion for health & safety, Calvin has been working as a safety advisor for over 25 years and uses his extensive H&S and Environmental Health knowledge and network to support both events and organisations with their compliance needs.

 

Experience includes major firework displays, outdoor festivals, events in large London exhibition and regular organisation site visits. His expertise also includes set health and safety for TV/films and other productions.

John Abiona

John Abiona,
BSc, MSc, MCIEH

John has over 20 years’ experience in Food Management, Food Manufacturing and the retail environment, John has a robust teaching knowledge in all the major areas of Environmental health such as Food Safety, Health & Safety and Environmental Protection. He was also a member of the team at the London 2012 Olympics and offered support, advice and coaching in the areas of food safety. He works with several London local authorities in Environmental Health.

Rimeh Jebari

Rimeh Jebari,
MSc, MSc, CMIOSH.

Rimeh has over 18 years’ international experience in managing health and safety within a variety of industries including railway, construction, oil and gas, food manufacturing, corporate offices. In recent years she been bringing that experience to the safe management of TV and film production by developing risk assessments and providing advice on set as well as providing safety advice on and site consultancy as safety advisor for events and festivals.

Emma Lampka

Emma has 20+ years Health and Safety Experience and 10+ years Environmental experience.  She has worked in a number of industries from food manufacturing, manufacturing, light engineering, MOD, agriculture and construction.

 

Emma has worked on a number of events from supporting an MOD team to complete the Scott Amundsen Centenary Race, including risk assessing hanging a sled off the top of the Lloyds of London building.  She has supported safety arrangements at small and medium size events from event plans, risk assessments and emergency plans including corporate functions, fireworks events, festivals and music events.

James Lackovic

James Lackovic MMus, BMus(Hons), CMgr FCMI, FBII, CertIOSH, AIFireE, MIFSM

Originally from a live music background, James became involved in technical productions and venue operations and is now deeply entrenched within the music and event sector. After 10 years working in the licensed trade and event industries he began to diversify his experience by taking the NCRQ Diploma in Applied Health and Safety and now has significant experience in safety management across a wide range of events and festivals. Over the last few years James has chosen to specialise in Crowd Management, James is also an Associate Member of the UK Crowd Managers Association and also holds additional qualifications in fire safety.

Lucy Chesher

Lucy Chesher
BSc, MSc, CMIOSH, PIEMA

Lucy has over 20 years’ experience as a Health, Safety and Environment Advisor, working across different businesses including heritage properties, construction and events. 

 

Her previous experience includes being the Head of Health and Safety at Blenheim Palace and Estate which included overseeing and supporting day to day H&S as well as TV/Film safety and events within a heritage setting. Lucy's event experience includes event build and break and she was one of a team of Safety Advisors working with the host city at the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest. She was also the H&S lead for a consortium working on HS2.

Jennifer McKeown

Jennifer McKeown,  BSc, MSc, REnvH, FRSPH, MCIEH

After a decade working in the hospitality sector as a chef, kitchen manager and Front of House Supervisor, Jennie re-trained as an Environmental Health Practitioner and moved into the role of Auditor carrying out food and health & safety audits nationally in a range of settings, before becoming an EHO with a local authority. 

 

As a registered Environmental Health Practitioner, she specialises in all forms of food work and local air quality management.  Her previous hospitality experience allows her to ensure that all work required of a business is based on real-life experience. 

Mike Langford

Mike Langford 
PgC, PgC, CertIOSH, MIIRSM, MCIEH

Following several years’ service in the Royal Navy as medical lead and Nuclear specialist on submarines Michael has developed his skills as a safety lead in a range of sectors such as medical & care.

 

His experience includes safety of indoor and outdoor events and general organisational safety across a range of sectors. He is also highly experienced in health and safety for TV/film, short productions, commercials and music videos.

Mike is currently undertaking an MSc in environmental health and training in specialist rescue.

Carl Watson

Carl Watson,
PgD, CMIOSH

Carl has extensive experience in construction and property sectors, including utilities, construction, roads and infrastructure and has recently been bringing this experience into the safe management of outdoor events, as well as TV/film productions.

Elisabeth Poulsom

Elisabeth Poulsom, TechIOSH, BA (Hons), PGCE, MEd.

Elisabeth has a vast range of experience in International Event Health & Safety
and is an Event Management Specialist. She has worked on some of the world’s biggest festivals including Reading Festival, Wireless, Latitude and Isle of Wight and has also Health and Safety Coordinated outdoor heritage, sporting, festive, community and arts festivals throughout the UK.

Elisabeth is also experienced in set health and safety for TV/film, short productions, commercials and music videos. 

Steve James

Steve James,
CEnvH, MCIEH, DMS, DipEH, Dip Acoustics

Steve has extensive experience in Environmental Health, from frontline roles in local authorities to working with events.  In local authority roles he managed noise for the Notting Hill Carnival as well as working on out of hours noise nuisance.

 

In recent years he has worked with high profile events including Love Box, SW4, We are FSTVL and others as well as national and international hotel groups advising them on health & safety and food safety.

Dene Hazelwood

Dene Hazlewood,
CertIOSH, MIIRSM

Dene is an Event Specialist with over 10 years of experience in this field. His specialisms include Live Event and Exhibition Project & Production Management and Event Safety planning. He has worked on a whole host of different type of events; from corporate to major public events to festivals and green field sites including Lumiere London.

Terry Gilgallon

Terry Gilgallon, CMIOSH. MIIRSM

Terry’s early safety career was in chemical, oil & gas services and infrastructure, which gives him an eye for detail and an understanding of high risk safety management. He has also worked in the construction sector overseeing safety on multi-million construction projects. This experience has proved very useful in his work in film/TV and events to help bring about an understanding of CDM and construction safety for TV sets and events.

Priya Chawla

Priya Chawla, TechIOSH.

Priya’s background is in H&S with the UK's largest privately owned media and publishing company. She has also been involved in health & safety for corporate buildings, construction, tankering, warehouse, depots, customer experience, laboratories and more. 

Sara Tachi

Sara Tachi, TechIOSH.

Sara has an extensive background in event safety having worked in a range of events over the years.  She also has experience within a local authority in overseeing and approving events as well as in housing and support services

 

Sara brings a down to earth, realistic approach to help you understand requirements and remain compliant.

Dave Watkins

David Watkins
LL.B (Hons), PgCert, MIIRSM, CertIOSH

David has a background in world class events such as the Olympic Games in London, Glastonbury Music Festival, The European Games and Download Festival. Example roles include Senior Safety Supervisor (Wembley Stadium) & International Crowd Safety Advisor (OC European Games).

David has TV/film, short productions, commercials and music video health and safety experience.

 

He has also worked within the property industry advising building owners and management on H&S matters including asbestos awareness, fire safety management and legionella safety.

Dave Axtell

Dave Axtell, MSc, BSc

David spent 12 years as a chef, kitchen manager and chef trainer, before moving into the role of Safety Advisor carrying out safety audits nationally and internationally for restaurants, hotels, mobile caterers, pubs, casinos, coffee shop chains and cinemas. His previous experience as a kitchen manager allows him to ensure that audits and training are based on real-life experience. As a registered Environmental Health Practitioner, he works with a range of clients specifically in food safety
